About this urn

White blooms on black. The contrast that makes both more beautiful.

Large chrysanthemums sweep across the lower body, bold and painterly. Smaller blossoms scatter above them, each one outlined in gold. The black ground makes every flower luminous. A gold band runs the shoulder and base, and the lid carries the same floral detail pressed into the top.

The cloisonné tradition is patient work. Each colour laid within its gold border, each flower placed by hand. No two urns come out exactly alike, the same way no two gardens ever do.
