Marine-grade surgical steel — the same alloy used in implants and body jewellery. It won't tarnish, rust or
discolour in water, and it's about twice as hard as silver, so fine engraving stays sharp instead of wearing
smooth against clothing. Very low nickel release, so it's well tolerated by most people with metal
sensitivities.
