About this urn

A pale blue ground. The name says everything.

Blue flowers scatter across the full surface, some pale, some deep, all hand-painted in the traditional cloisonné style with fine gold outlines. Green leaves between them. A gold band at the shoulder and base. The lid carries the same detail, the same care, the same unhurried quality as the rest of it.
